Osteoporosis Health Risk Assessment

Osteoporosis, or porous bone, is a disease characterized by low bone mass and deterioration of bone tissue, leading to bone fragility and an increased risk of fractures of the hip, spine, and wrist. Approximately 10 million Americans have osteoporosis, and 34 million more people in the United States have low bone mass, putting them at increased risk for the disease.

We've designed a simple quiz based on known risk factors for osteoporosis to help you assess if you are at risk and learn what you can do to help prevent osteoporosis. Please keep in mind that this quiz cannot diagnose you with osteoporosis, but it may be used as a tool to help you decide if you should seek further evaluation of your risk for osteoporosis from your doctor.
