Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs
- Properties: Fever reduction and prevention of inflammation.
- Recommended users: Individuals with mild symptoms of lupus, including fever, arthritis, muscle pain, and swelling.
- Common side effects: Stomach upset, headache, heartburn, and fluid retention. Some individuals may develop kidney or liver inflammation with chronic use of NSAIDs. It is important that individuals stay in close contact with their health care provider while taking an NSAID.
