Combined Alpha and Beta Blockers
Medications in this drug class block alpha and beta receptors in the body to lower blood pressure and decrease the workload on the heart. Beta blockers reduce the force and rate of the heartbeat and decrease tone in blood vessels. Alpha blockers work to relax blood vessels in the arms and legs.
