Typical Antipsychotics
Typical antipsychotics are generally used second-line for the treatment of schizophrenia. They work by blocking certain receptors in the brain and by depressing the release of certain chemicals to help alleviate the symptoms of schizophrenia. All typical antipsychotics are equal in efficacy when used in equally potent doses.
